Believe it or not, the Audi R8 has been around since way back in 2006, and it’s definitely one of the most daily-livable two-seat supercars on the planet. Over the years, it’s grown more capable and less rounded in its styling, but it has retained its iconic look throughout. Now, for the 2021 model year, the brand has made its rear-wheel drive R8 coupes and convertibles (aka, spyders) permanent additions to its stable, whereas it had previously only been limited runs. Although it lacks the sure-footedness of the quattro all-wheel drive versions, it manages to deliver improved performance due to the weight savings. The same 532-horsepower V10 is present behind the seats and good for a 0-60 sprint of 3.6 seconds. Moreover, you save an insane $50K over the AWD R8 V10 and get to experience the driving thrills of being shoved in the back by that sweet engine and thrilled by the RWD dynamics. Look for the new RWD R8 later this year.
