Nike Air Max '87 N7
For their latest summer N7 collection, Nike turned to designer Lauren Thomas, a member of the Mi’kmaq tribe, to redesign the Nike Air Max ’87. Thomas took inspiration from her First Nations heritage to craft a stunning pair of kicks. These new shoes feature vibrant ombre colorways and moccasin-inspired stitching—as well as ribbon laces, which serve as an homage to traditional ribbon shirts and powwow regalia. Not only is this edition of the Air Max ’87 one of our favorite shoes of the summer, it carries with it a legacy of First Nations art forms.

Nike ACG Watercat+
Last but certainly not least is our new favorite water shoe. The Watercat+ from Nike’s ACG line is GORPed out to the extreme. Available in three colorways, the unique woven sneaker is made from moisture-wicking, breathable cords on the upper and a mixed-rubber outsole. The result is that your feet will stay firmly gripped as you trek through rocky rivers and they’ll dry extra fast as you're lying out on the riverbank. These shoes were made for summer adventures.
