Although not exactly like Paul Newman, Tom Cruise likes to race cars in his spare time. His role as Cole Trickle in the 1990 film Days of Thunder saw him doing what he’s passionate about (aside from couch dancing). In real life, he actually raced for Newman/Sharp Racing back in the ’80s and drove this very car, a 1984 Nissan 300ZX that recently hit the auction block. It actually sat in a scrapyard until recently when the new owner restored it. It includes work like a new bare metal paint job and a fresh livery. The car also has racing bucket seats, racing harnesses, black vinyl upholstery, and a roll cage. Powering the car is a 3.0-liter V6 mill mated to an old-school five-speed manual transmission. The historic car just sold for a healthy six figures.
