‘Sneakers’ Is the New Sneaker Bible

‘Sneakers’ Is the New Sneaker Bible

The recently released hardcover tome Sneakers is 300+ pages of hardcore history and insight that has been described as everything from “The definitive story of the sneaker universe” (WSJ Magazine) to “One of this year’s coolest books” (Men’s Journal). We’re just gonna come right out and say it–Sneakers is the new sneaker bible for everyone interested in more than just flipping a pair for a buck. The author list alone is incredibly impressive. Rodrigo Corral runs his own design studio, along with being a creative director, designing books for Jay-Z and Palahniuk, and is also a lecturer and teacher. Alex French is an Esquire contributing editor with credits from Wired to Grantland and everything in between. Howie Kahn is a contributing editor for WSJ who also has an absurd list of editorial credits. They set out to tell the story of sneakers with interviews from people like Virgil Abloh (Off-White), Ronnie Fieg (Kith), Serena Williams, Alexander Wang, Tinker Hatfield, Kobe and the list just keeps going. It’s an encyclopedia for all things rubber-soled while still being a book you’re actually going to want to read.
