Okay, so we knew the day would come when the ultra-luxury car companies would go electric, but this was quick. The 577-horsepower Rolls-Royce Spectre EV is what the brand touts as its “most perfect product…” and boasts the same level of luxury as its gas-powered brethren. The 6,650-pound two-door should get 260 miles of range and a top speed of 155 mph. 0-60 mph arrives in an astounding 4.4 seconds (for a vehicle that weighs more than a Chevy Suburban). In order to aid in aerodynamics, the Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament was revised slightly but remains easily recognizable. The powertrain was integrate into the chassis and also benefits sound-deadening. Details on the battery and motors has yet to be disclosed (along with the stratopsheric price tag), but we should know all the details when the car bows in a year.
