Honestly, we never thought we’d see Brabus and Andy Warhol mentioned in the same sentence, but here we are. Back in ’86, Merc commissioned Andy Warhol to work create the Cars Series for the brand. The 300 SL Gullwing that was included in the set was re-created in the flesh by the German tuner company. They located a donor car, not some easy task given the car’s rarity, and they found Chassis number 198.040-5500629. The car was fully restored by Brabus, amounting to thousands of hours of work that included a complete disassembly, new paint, and a totally redone engine. There might not be a more stunning example of the iconic Gullwing on the planet.
