The Airstream Basecamp 16 is a marvel because it takes the Airstream tradition of high quality and shrinks it down to a new shape for the brand. Now, Airstream has collaborated with the REI Co-Op to make it truly eco-friendly. Materials include recycled post-consumer pieces and responsibly sourced wood. It also gets new badging, a hand-built frame, a riveted aluminum body, bespoke trim, black aluminum wheels, a 360W flexible rooftop solar panel, and a 200 Ah lithium battery. Inside, there’s room for two, storage cabinets, a convertible dinette, a lounge/bed combo, a two-burner stovetop, a sink, a fridge, an optional composting toilet, and a 25-piece REI Co-Op kit with outdoor goodies to enhance the overlapping experience.
