There might not be a giant audience for light armored patrol vehicles, but those in the know are passionate fans. One particularly impressive LAPV on the market caught our eye: this 2017 Terradyne Gurkha LAPV. Built in Canada, this military-grade, tactical machine built for offers protection, thrills, and tons of street cred.
The Gurkha used a Ford F550 chassis with four-wheel-drive and is powered by a 6.7-liter V8 turbodiesel engine. It comes equipped with B7/STANAG armor, a NATO-approved rating that protects its driver from small arms fire, like armor-piercing sniper rifle rounds. Not sure how much firepower you’re expecting to face in suburbia. Inside is a standard touchscreen entertainment system, quilted leather seats, and a B&G intercom system with a siren.
This blacked-out beast just sold at auction for an impressive $387,000 and the new owner is surely looking forward to living out their zombie apocalypse dreams.
