Steven Rinella, the host of Netflix’s MeatEater, has written a comprehensive survival guide based on his acclaimed show. The guide is less for entertainment and more for real skills in the rough. It includes how to prepare for and handle extended wilderness exploration, land navigation, first-aid, etc. He even included how to use primitive methods, as well as how to take advantage of modern technology to get through what can often be hell on earth. But it’s not just his own valuable experience he brings into the book but also wins and failures from his crew of advisors that include hunters, ER doctors, wilderness guides, etc. Hell, if we keep getting hit by pandemics, this might be the one book you’ll really need.
