Talk about pricey real estate. The fifth-largest lunar meteorite is now up for sale for the price of more than most homes. The lunar meteorite with the alpha-numeric designation NWA 12691, weighs in at over 30 pounds. It was found in 2018 in the western Sahara desert near Algeria and Mauritania. To give you perspective, a total of only 1,400 pounds of lunar rock is present on earth, and 880 pounds of that was brought back from Apollo space missions. Verified as the real deal, NWA 12691 is composed of rare and unknown minerals and gases, making it way cooler than just some big rock.
