You read it right. Mr. Musk wants to send an average Joe (or Josephine) into outer space. This will be the world’s first all-civilian mission to space and will take place later this year. One of the four individuals on Inspiration 4 will be chosen via raffle, and the only two initial pre-requisites are a $10+ donation to St. Jude’s Hospital (the mission is meant to inspire support for St. Jude’s) and good physical condition. Spend more, and you’ll get more raffle entries, as well as bonus items. The mission will be led by Shift4 Payments founder, Jared Isaacman, who is donating $100 million to St. Jude’s. Your spending, thankfully, will considerably less. Intense training is required before the mission, but the bragging rights will be astronomical. Crew selection is in 25 days.
