Wilco Lindner Derbi Mini-Bike

Wilco Lindner Derbi Mini-Bike

The Derbi is clearly a case of dinky size and colossal efforts. The customized mini-moto has received the craftsmanship attention typically devoted to much larger builds. This two-stroke bike receives a new subframe, a reworked engine that takes the stock one from 6 hp to 24 hp thanks to increased engine displacement and a new CR80 V-Fore intake. The Derbi also received a new subframe, hand-milled engine mounts, hand-formed aluminum bodywork, Ohlins suspension components, a custom leather seat, perforated side covers, and spoked wheels shod with chunky rubber. Perhaps the most interesting aspect are the two separate two-stroke chamber exhausts. Wilco Lindner stated their purpose is, “One for performance, and one for looks.” The end result of it all is a mini-bike that can easily earn its place in an illustrious motorcycle collection, as well as one that should get taken out to thrash around every so often.
