If you fancy the idea of getting an American off-roader customized to a more sophisticated spec, then the UK’s Sterling Automotive Design version of the venerable Jeep Wrangler should draw your attention with its bespoke but subdued look. Oddly enough, it ditches the iconic Jeep vertical grille for a stealthy horizontally vented version with the “Sterling” lettering across the top. The Launch Edition also gets body-colored bumpers and some stealthy matte black wheels to match the fascia. Some might call the exterior understated, which is what makes this Jeep properly British in appearance. Inside, there are perforated leather seats with a unique stitching pattern, along with Alcantara suede on the door panels and dash. The rest of the cabin is Jeep through-and-through. Power comes from the UK Jeep’s 2.2-liter turbodiesel routed to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission. It’s a special Jeep that might actually go unnoticed, but the $68K price tag may raise some eyebrows.
