ESG has created one superb Yamaha bobber crafted from an XS650 Special from the ’80s. Normally, ESG specializes in customized cafe racers, but this divergence has paid off in terms of artistry. The black and gold moto looks both menacing and pageant-ready with its big solid disc wheels, gold and brass accents, and its mountain-bike suspension undergirded tractor-style seat. The brass footpegs, chain, pipes, and venting pop beautifully on the black monster, and it looks absolutely nothing like the donor bike from which it emerged. It’s clear EST has mastered another bike genre, and we wonder what’s next.
