Bugatti Bolide Concept

Bugatti Bolide Concept

Bugatti just outdid itself. Apparently, the modified Chiron that hit 304.5 mph last year wasn’t enough. Enter the track-only Bugatti Bolide (“really fast car” in French). It uses a modified W16 engine from the Chiron: an 8.0-liter 16-cylinder engine with quad turbos and an upgraded intake and exhaust system that delivers 1,824 horsepower and 1,364 lb-ft of torque. The result is a simulated top speed of over 310 mph and a Nürburgring lap time of 5:23.1, which beats the record set by a Lambo Aventador SVJ at 6:44:97. The car weighs in at sub-3,000 pounds thanks to extensive use of carbon fiber and titanium. The interior boasts an F1-style steering wheel, huge carbon fiber racing seats, and more blue suede than Elvis’s shoe collection. Although there’s no word about possible production, Bugatti isn’t ruling it out. Start saving up your millions.
