Following up the excellent DB11 is no easy feat, but the new DB12 looks like it’s more than up to the task. The styling is also more dramatic than its predecessor with a bigger grille, new swept back headlights, and even more body creases. It’s also got wider tracks for a more aggressive stance and improved handling. Under the long and shapely hood is a 671-hp twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8, no longer a V12, that enables the DB12 to hit 60 mph in 3.5 seconds and top out at 202 mph. Additional details include new suspension, an electronic rear differential, 21-inch wheels, and Michelin Pilot Sport S 5 performance tires. Inside is a more opulent cabin and improved tech with a 10.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, nav with 3D mapping, and Aston’s new companion app that allow owners to tap into the vehicle’s content. A high level of customization is available via Aston’s Q program. The 2024 Aston Martin DB12 will be available in Q3 of this year. Expect great things from this new DB.
