Space Invaders Board Game

The notion of taking a classic video game and turning into a physical board game sounds like turning a laser pistol into a rubber band gun. But the new Space Invaders board game is more of a nostalgic homage that brings the whole family together (your kids will wonder what the hell Space Invaders was, anyway). The 40th anniversary of the video game takes the form of a board, coins, and player and invader pieces, and you have to fend off the baddies after the coins are drawn in or against your favor. The look of the board game mimics the arcade game, and you don’t even have to put any quarters on glass or stand for hours on end. With over 3 weeks left in its Kickstarter campaign, the game has already achieved high score by handily crushing its fundraising goal.
