Pro-Ject x Houseplant HP1 Record Player

Pro-Ject x Houseplant HP1 Record Player

We’ve long appreciated the tasteful and high-quality homegoods from cannabis brand Houseplant. Founded by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, Houseplant’s line of ash trays, rolling trays, lighters, and more are impeccable. And the brand has branched out beyond smoking accessories to offer folks stylish items for their home. Their latest release is a collaboration with beloved turntable manufacturers Pro-Ject. The HP1 Record Player is a minimalist mid-century modern turntable for the modern record collector.

While the cream-and-blue color scheme and frosted-glass platter demonstrate the clear eye for handsome design, the technical specs are just as impressive. Built-in phono pre-amp, BlueTooth and HiFi capabilities, and Ortofon OM 5E moving magnet cartridge. Priced at $550, the HP1 Record Player is a very solid entry- to mid-level record player for vinyl enthusiasts.
