Orro Smart Light Switch

Orro Smart Light Switch

The notion of smart homes is no longer just a notion. From doorbells and security systems to garage door openers and the whole internet of things that makes so dependent on not doing much of anything on our own anymore. Well, add to this cornucopia of tech the Orro smart light switch. You can tap it to use as a typical physical light switch and use its face as a dimmer touchpad, but the catch is in the built-in sensors that can automatically adjust light levels based on human activity, sunlight, and time of day. It’s also designed to detect your patterns and learn them over time, adjusting light accordingly. What’s more, there’s a built-in microphone that can sense you without requiring you to move, so it won’t turn the lights off while you’re sitting and reading a book. Finally, the system isn’t dependent on the web but uses the electrical circuits in your home, so you don’t have to sync it with anything. At $199 per switch, it could get expensive to outfit your entire home with them, but you may never have to touch your light switches ever again.
