You remember the puzzles you had to do in Math class growing up that forced you to turn a bunch of different shapes into a square, number or image (it was always a bunny rabbit or a swan)? Those tangram puzzles were either the best part of the entire class, or completely infuriating, depending on how your brain happened to be working that day. LOGIFACES, the “analogue game for digital minds” uses sixteen hand-poured concrete prisms and the idea of a tangram to create one of the most engaging puzzle games we’ve seen in a while. The idea is to create a shape, any shape!, with the prisms that has one continuous surface. There are plenty of wrong ways to do it, but there isn’t just one right way. The marble white, basalt grey or charcoal black concrete set of pieces comes in a unique paper pulp box that works for storage or travel. This sure as hell beats sudoku as a way to wake up your brain in the morning.
