Heliograf Light Soy Lamps

Heliograf Light Soy Lamps

We are a wasteful society, and most of the news about how much plastic gets tossed into landfills or the ocean is just plain harrowing and depressing. Australian studio Heliograf, however, wants to make “light” of it all. These fish-shaped Light Soy lamps are actually modeled after plastic soy sauce bottles found in sushi shops, but in their decor form just happen to be made out of recyclable, frosted borosilicate glass instead of single-use plastic. The fact that the shape mimics marine life just shows the brilliant irony of what Heliograf has done. The premium materials used means the lamps will last, and the small size is meant to minimize the product’s environmental footprint. The two versions, a USB-C rechargeable table lamp or a hanging pendant light, both use a built-in 3000K LED with dimming capability. The studio plans on releasing more sustainable and brilliant takes on fresh products, and we like their unique spin.
