We’ve said it before: there’s a soft spot in our hearts for a cool product that ingeniously repurposes a mundane object to serve a new function. We’re not talking about MacGuyvering an AM Radio out of a paper clip, a Q-tip, and 9 volt battery either. Take these old classic hand-cast iron C-clamps from Crate and Barrel. Designed to be bookends, they work perfectly on virtually any shelf, and hold fast a set of books or any other object that needs to stand upright. They lend a bit of masculine style to any place, and while you’re baby-soft hands may have never hewed a piece of wood in their lives, you can at least familiarize yourself with the hardware.
