This is a 1938 Gibson Mastertone passed down from my father last year with a case that has been covered in Bill Monroe Bluegrass stickers and tickets since the mid 70’s. My mother actually went into labor with me while they were at the show in 1979. I used to sit in the case listening to my parents jam at house parties when I was too young to even walk. It’s a pretty special piece considering my fathers illness and his willingness to pass it down to me this year. I swore it would make an appearance on my bands first EP which will hopefully drop this summer.
