These 1936 Beer Cans Sold For Almost $3,000

Though you might mistake these two cans of 1936 Felinfoel pale pale ale for 5W30 motor oil, they might just be the most expensive beers ever sold. And they weren’t exactly carefully stored but rather kept on a desk, so their condition is quite remarkable (the flavor, probably not so much). They brought in about $2,819 at Chiswick Auctions in London on September 19, 2019, by none other than Felinfoel Brewery’s managing director Philip Lewis. Not only were they kept in the same family for generations, but the beers were also the first beers canned outside the U.S. Now, we’re off to find the world’s oldest peanuts that would be the perfect match for them.
