Hennessy X.O x Frank Gehry Masterpiece

Now that fall is upon us, thoughts of smooth French cognac enter the mind. Hennessy just collaborated with famous architect Frank Gehry to create a truly special bottle to commemorate its 150th anniversary of Hennessy X.O. The $17,000 bottle contains the wonderful elixir and stands as its own stunning collector’s item that deserves its own museum case. Each one of the gilded, limited-run 150 bottles is actually a decanter stamped with Gehry’s signature. In terms of materials, the bottle is encased in a crinkled sleeve of 24-carat gold-dipped bronze that’s meant to look like moving water as light reflects off its surface. Each bottle is encased in a multi-layered wood presentation box and comes with a “fractured glass glorifier” that adds to the decanter’s reflective qualities. What’s more, every cent of the proceeds goes to Unfinished Business, a new initiative from the Hennessy that aids small businesses during COVID-19’s ravages. It’s a brilliant bottle for a worthy cause. Hennessy will also sell the same contents in a less extravagant but still unique and artful bottle for a less-eye-searing $230.
