Though we wish for a single malt whisky that can also fuel a supercar and Cuban cigar smoke that conditions our hair, we’ll settle for a beer that develops film. That’s right. The folks at Dogfish Head Brewery have partnered with Kodak and created a Super Gose beer crafted with tasty ingredients that include prickly pear, mango, boysenberry, blackberry, raspberry, elderberry, kiwi juice, toasted quinoa, and red Hawaiian sea salt. The low pH of the beer contributes to its Super 8 film development capability, but you will have to add some basic ingredients to the red-tinged brew, but just think of it… take a swig, pour in the confines of your darkroom, and your beer is pulling double duty. SuperEIGHT will start selling in cans this April.
