STP (the band, not the motor oil) had their heyday in the mid-nineties, where they successfully made fans out of nearly every hot-blooded young male alive. For the last decade though, they’ve been more or less off the radar. With the release of their new self-titled album, the Stone Temple Pilots return to form nearly twenty years after their 8-time platinum 1992 album. This does not mean you’re allowed to return to form with lots of flannel and acid wash jeans.
