Geoff Manaugh, the guy behind the popular architecture site BLDGBLOG, recently wrote a book that encompasses nearly two thousand years of heists and tunnel jobs, break-ins and escapes. A Burglar’s Guide to the City is a three hundred plus page tome that explores the intersection between burglary and architecture that was written with the help of FBI Special Agents, reformed bank robbers, private security consultants, the L.A.P.S. Air Support Division and architects. We’re not going to go so far as to say that this is a how-to guide that will help you execute your own high stakes heist, but it’s not a bad to place to start.
