When was the last time you bought new kitchen utensils? We’re arbitrarily going to say that anything used to make coffee or cocktails doesn’t count. Once that rule is applied we honestly have no idea when we last thought about utensils, let alone actually bought them. Measuring cups are so far down on the list of priorities because the simple plastic ones you’ve had since college still do the job, and they don’t slice, dice or puree. And oh yeah, but wait, there’s no more. They’re just measuring cups. Yet somehow we still find ourselves ogling the copper-plated steel 1 cup, 1/2 cup, 1/3 cup and 1/4 cup collection because, well, copper looks great and happens to be naturally antibacterial and anti-fungal. Even if you hardly ever use the things they’ll look great hanging in your kitchen.
