Amazon’s ‘The Helix’ East Coast HQ

Amazon’s ‘The Helix’ East Coast HQ

Count on Amazon to take everyone’s money and then go and build a new HQ building that’s as unique as it is opulent. The double helix-style building will be located in Arlington, VA and will show off its terraced and tree-lined spiral goodness for all the world to see. The NBBJ-designed, 350-foot tall building includes office space, plus 2.5 acres of publicly accessible land, a 2.8-acre park, a 20,000-square-foot community space, shops, and restaurants. Amazon hopes to give its employees on-site work options beyond the office, so they can work outside, at a cafe, or on open spaces throughout the building. The new HQ should be completed by 2025.
