If you’re a surfer, you likely ride on a polyurethane or polystyrene core board. It’ll come as no surprise that these boards break. When they do, that polyurethane or polystyrene core ends up in a landfill (a board in two pieces isn’t exactly useful in the water), and thus begins it’s biodegrading. Except that doesn’t really happen, as it’s made from the same stuff that keeps styrofoam cups around for like 500 years. Ocean Green has come up with a nature friendly alternative, making boards with sustainably-sourced Balsa wood cores and hemp or cotton cloth. The finished product is a beautiful wood board, which gracefully draws attention away from your less than beautiful riding skills.

Unzip your coat and have some mulled wine on the house—you’ve arrived at your final gifting destination: The Holiday Gift Guide. It’s like your friendly neighborhood one-stop holiday shop, except instead of balsa wood ornaments, ours is packed with thoughtful gifts for everyone on your list. Future heirlooms, small-but-significant stocking stuffers, and gear for getting out there (or staying in)—are all right here. There’s no music playing in the background though, so you’ll just have to hum Bing Crosby while you click around instead.
