From birth record documents and signed Amex cards to Tissot watches and a custom Karate gi, we’ve seen a lot of interesting Elvis memorabilia come up for sale over the years. But nothing like The King’s gold and silver Smith & Wesson .357 Revolver that you have a chance to own. Up for sale through reputable California autograph and memorabilia dealer Moments in Time, this Smith & Wesson Model 19 revolver has a bear, bobcat, moose, mountain lion and puma inlaid in gold; deer and antelope carvings in the ivory handles; and a story that’s even more impressive than all that inlay work. Elvis bought the gun in the late 70s in Beverly Hills from Kerr’s Sporting Goods with a custom leather zip case before gifting it to Vice President Spiro Agnew later that year. The gun wound up back in Elvis’s hands because Agnew was under investigation. Ultimately, it ended up in the hands of Shelby County Sheriff Gene Barksdale (where Elvis was a Special Deputy). When the gun was last listed approximately five years ago it was estimated at $275,000, so expect this beaut to command a few more dollars this time around.
