Looking for a unique accommodation for your travels? Consider staying in a vintage trailer. This retro-chic type of stay isn’t just full of nostalgia, it’s also super sustainable, as these bohemian properties upcycle old RVs, Airstreams, and trailers instead of using new materials to build hotels. Here are some of our favorite vintage trailer resorts to stay in around the world.  

 The Vintages Trailer Resort in Willamette Valley’s wine country is a trailer park of premier Airstreams that have been upcycled for glamping. There are more than 30 fully restored custom-fabricated trailers equipped with comfortable and modern furnishings. The property is complete with outdoor grills, a swimming pool, and a firepit with cozy lounge seating.  

The Grand Daddy Hotel has a rooftop Airstream trailer park with seven vintage trailer accommodations. Trailer parks are usually surrounded by nature, but this one gets the city treatment overlooking the urban jungle. Each Airstream suite is a fully serviced hotel room. 

At Windmill Campersite former movie props and authentic military vehicles have been transformed into funky accommodations. You can sleep in a 1965 Falklands War rescue helicopter with original dials or the actual submarine prop from James Bond’s “The World is Not Enough.”  

Camping Miramar is composed of 37 pastel-hued vintage caravans decked out with double beds and outdoor picnic dining areas. For travel during warmer months, upgrade to the pool mobile homes that are each equipped with private dipping pools.

Camp out in style on a rooftop at Melbourne’s most unique accommodation — Hotel No. Perched on top of the concrete parking lot are six refitted 31-foot Airstream trailers adorned in minimally sleek furnishings. Each trailer has a mini bar with free beer and wine.
