Work boots just used to be for long day’s manual labor but no longer. In fact, most men wear stylish work boots without ever breaking a sweat, unless it’s in a particularly warm beer garden. Men’s style maven Todd Snyder just collaborated with iconic bootmaker Red Wing to create a rarified version of Red Wing’s 877 classic moc boot, a rugged workwear staple since the 1950s. The boot gets clad in either a copper or a charcoal hue and adds visual and tactile contrast thanks to the use of both leather and suede in the upper. The re-soleable double stitch-down Moc Toe Boot uses a softer Vibram wedge sole for comfort and a shorter shaft length for easier wearability. Leather laces, metal eyelets, contrast stitching, and a heel pull tab round out the boots perfectly. Selvage denim will surely never find a better mate. You may never work the factory line while wearing them, but your style quotient will get a serious bump.
