Once upon a time, one of the Editors for a popular men’s blog decided he wanted to make jewelry for himself. He made a bunch of bracelets using recycled wire, paracord and spent .22lr shells. That popular men’s blog is Cool Material and that Editor is me, Ben. I never seriously considered making these bracelets for other people, but when enough people tell you to do something you listen. I went to the gun range, fired thousands of rounds and collected the shells. I found paracord in over 25 colors and got my hands on a 200lb roll of wire destined for the scrap heap. Countless days, drinks and failed iterations later, I arrived at BRZN (it’s a play on the world “brazen”). Each bracelet is rigid enough to maintain its shape, but flexible enough to fit just about any wrist–and they’re all handmade in Chicago. Make a statement. Be bold. Wear BRZN.
