While there’s no shortage of recycled gear or items that express a love for vintage audio players, there are none quite like the Recycled Cassette Tape Necktie. Made of 50% thread and 50% recorded audio cassette tape, these one of a kind ties actually play music… well sort of. Designers Alyce Santoro and Julio Cesar used audio from the CD Between Stations with looped samples of music from NYC subways. You have to modify an old walkman to hear the music and even then it’s kind of rough since you know, you’re playing music from a tie.
