Levi’s x Denim Tears

Levi’s x Denim Tears

The Gullah Geechee culture is an often overlooked part of American heritage, but it is, itself, so uniquely American. In the southern coastal plains lies a vibrant community of slave descendants that have thrived since the 1800’s.

How exciting to see this culture be represented in the latest collection by Levi’s in partnership with artist Denim Tears. Focusing on the culture, history, and experience of the Gullah people, this 8-piece capsule collection includes patterns and clothing with a story to tell. Most visceral are the indigo-print hands on white denim and the quilting-like storytelling pattern on a reimagined pair of 501’s.

Pop-up locations in London, Los Angeles, and SoHo have been stocking this collection, but will be available on Levi’s starting July 28, but available on Denim Tears’ site now.
