If you’ve ever worn Carhartt workwear, you know it’s some of the best warm and hard-wearing stuff out there. Now, the lifestyle division of the brand, known as Carhartt WIP (Work In Progress) has infused a pair of Chucks with their rugged construction and ethos just in time to kick the crap out of the tail end of winter. Without altering the classic shape of the Converse Chuck 70s on which they’re based, the Carhartt WIP Gore-Tex Chuck Taylors get the breathable waterproof treatment, Gore-Tex lettering on the sides of the heels, a huge swath of reflective material up the back smattered with “Gore-Tex” from top to bottom, and faded All-Star logos on the inside ankles. They’re offered in black (with yellow accents) and white (with orange accents) and dropped for sale today in Carhartt WIP stores and online.
