Breitling and the NFL launched a truly original collection of limited-edition Chronomats, each model representing one of the league’s 32 teams. The classic Chronomat B01’s COSC-certified build and sculptural aesthetic are remixed with unobtrusive team references.
This refreshingly un-gauche combination ensures these timepieces aren’t just elevated merchandise. It’s certainly a rare kind of partnership in the world of Swiss luxury watches. The 49ers dial, for example, is in the club’s signature red with its logo at the 9 o’clock subdial. The Patriots model presents a navy face with red accents, their Flying Elvis sitting at the 9.
The resulting collection of color variations gives the line an Oyster Perpetual–esque personalization factor, made more meaningful (and fun) by your ability to represent your team. Signature Chronomat cues are all there, from the raised rider tabs to the rouleaux bracelet. You can watch the Chronometer B01 movement’s column wheel and vertical clutch at work through the case back. An added NFL logo is the sun to the solar system of jewels and pops of gold.
This year, to mark the NFL’s 104th anniversary, every team watch is limited to 104 pieces. According to Breitling, this line is part of a long-term exclusive licensing agreement with the National Football League, so more will likely come from this first-of-its-kind collaboration.
