Bones. Cards. Tiles. Tickets. Stones. Spinners. Those are all names for the pieces in the classic “double 6” domino set. You can, obviously, also call them dominoes, but what fun is that? We never really got into dominoes, but we understand the appeal. If you’re a fan of the game of strategy, you’re no longer limited to the cheap plastic set in the red box from the big box store, or the absurdly priced options from other boutiques. The Principals–in collaboration with Billy Reid–have redesigned the classic twenty-eight tile “double 6” set out of concrete. Each piece is flat on one side and double-beveled from the center on the other. They end up looking like cool little teeter totters. They come with screen-printed rules and a cotton carrying bag so you can show them off. We never thought we’d have cause to say this, but these dominoes are beautiful.
