Be completely honest here people, if you still pay for cable TV you only do it to get your sports fix (potentially to host a Super Bowl party) and watch Food Network with the lady (we secretly watch it even when she’s not around.) Between Netflix and Hulu, the mobile device apps, the TV networks posting things on their own sites and BitTorrent (your secret is safe with us), the only real reason you still pay for cable TV is because you tried to cancel it and they offered you another six months of “free introductory rate” with a telephone you don’t need. It’s time to sever television ties with the cable company and pick up a Roku 2. It does your live sports, your Netflix, Amazon and Hulu, Pandora and even Angry Birds. That’s right, now you can even play Angry Birds on your big screen in HD. Most importantly, it’s essentially free because it will pay for itself in two months of cancelled cable.
