This collaboration between two iconic Swiss brands brings together Swatch’s playful design ethos with Blancpain’s heritage of crafting exceptional timepieces. The result? A striking, bioceramic dive watch that’s equal parts rugged and refined.
Each watch in the Swatch x Blancpain Bioceramic Fifty Fathoms collections clocks in at 42.3mm in diameter with 91m water resistance. They’re all powered by Swatch’s Sistem51 automatic movement with an impressive 90 hours of power reserve. Plus, they’re each designed with an open caseback showing off the inner workings of each timepiece.
Swatch makes use of their Bioceramic material for the cases, using 2/3 standard ceramic and 1/3 plant-based ceramic from castor seeds to craft these striking, scratch-resistant cases.
Each watch is designed with a unique colorway inspired by each of the five oceans. For instance, the Pacific Ocean model is inspired by the vibrant colors of the Chromodoris Kuiteri while the Indian Ocean model, whose case, dial and NATO strap was created from recycled fishing nets, sports a bright green hue reminiscent of coral reefs.
