It’s not often you run into a pristine and virtually untouched vintage Italian-American beauty like this. The 1957 Chrysler Ghia Super Dart 400 you see here is a concept car that harkens back to the space-age design era with huge fins, a massive grille, and some of the most adventurous styling of the era. Created by the famous Chrysler designer Virgil Exner, the Ghia Super Dart 400 is part of a trio of Chrysler Ghia show cars that will all hit the auction block via Bonhams. Based on a 1957 Chrysler 300C chassis, the car gets a 392 cubic-inch Power Pack Hemi engine good for 400 horsepower, an astounding number even by today’s standards. The car is clad in yellow over black and white seats, and the interior even has Chrysler’s Highway Hi-Fi record player. Expect it to command upwards of a cool million when it sells.
