Before Tesla unveils the production version of its long-awaited Cybertruck, GMC has pulled the covers off its 2024 GMC Sierra EV Denali Edition 1. It looks way different from its Chevy Silverado EV sibling with a more refined and futuristic look. The front fascia is simpler and uses LED lighting to dress things up. There’s gloss black on the Denali Edition 1, which will be the only trim level available at launch. The Sierra EV gets the same powertrain and battery tech as the Silverado EV: a pair of electric motors driving all four wheels and delivering 754 horsepower. 0-60 mph takes just 4.5 seconds. It also gets about 480 miles of range and will support DC fast charging. The Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 also gets adjustable air suspension, GMC’s MultiPro tailgate with the unique MultiPro MidGate feature, a 19.2 kW onboard charging module, a huge 16.8-inch portrait screen, an 11-inch digital instrument cluster, open pore wood, quilted leather, premium Bose audio, and a wireless device charging deck. The Sierra EV will eventually give birth to off-road AT4 and Elevation trim levels.
