Tombolo Company has long been a brand that celebrates the il dolce far niente and imbues their designs with a careless luxury that’s appealing and refreshing. Their latest release features work from French artist Marie de Buttet, whose deconstructed work examines the joys and pleasures of life. Their capsule collection, offered in grey, white or black, depicts two figures clutching fish embroidered onto the front panels. Each shirt is limited to 500 numbered editions. Marrying nautical themes with a bit of whimsical surrealism is the perfect tone to balance out the self-serious streetwear and mens style that’s saturating the market. I, for one, am a huge fan and hope this is just the beginning of a whole series with de Buttet’s work.
