Car auction site Bring A Trailer is offering up this beautiful 1978 Pontiac Firebird, which was acquired in 2016 by Burt Reynolds. While not the exact model he drove in Smokey and the Bandit, it has been retrofitted to mimic that classic Trans Am. This ’78 model sports a new black and gold colorway and is powered by a Butler Performance 8.2-liter V8 paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Equipment for the car includes a Shaker hood, fog lights, vented fenders, a rear CB antenna, a rear spoiler, and dual exhaust outlets. Inside you’ll find black leather seats with a matching dash, door panels, and carpets as well as a Hurst shifter, air conditioning, a Cobra CB radio, a Pioneer CD player, and JL Audio speakers. Plus, Burt Reynolds has signed the glove box as a special bonus. The auction ends in a matter of hours and the current bid is at $150,000.
