As part of the recent Apple keynote, the brand finally revealed the specs on all four of the new iPhone 12 models. As expected, it’s all a little confusing. All of the phones are 5G capable, powered by the A14 Bionic chip and feature and all-new design with ceramic shield. From there, the phones are divided into the normal/mini and pro/pro max classes depending on how much more you want to spend on a LiDAR scanner and balls-to-the-wall Pro camera system. The short version is this–each and every one of these phones is better than any iPhone that has preceded it, so if you’re eligible for an upgrade, it’s time to start figuring out which one of iPhone 12s you want. As with all things phones, it’s a little confusing when it comes to release dates, availability and pricing–even before carrier discounts. Preorders for each of the devices are as follows: iPhone 12 10/16, iPhone 12 Pro 10/23, iPhone 12 Mini 11/6, iPhone 12 Pro Max 11/6 with the actual pickup dates scheduled for a week later. Pricing starts at $699 for the iPhone 12 Mini and scales up from there depending on options and storage.
