If your ping pong game needs more game, perhaps you need to train under the tutelage of someone who will spend more time sending you expert shots instead of just criticizing your grip, form, and tenacity. The JOOLA robot was created to do just that by providing a huge range of shot types, as well as controlling, spin, trajectory, frequency (30-100 balls per minute), as well as speed (from 2.5 mph to 45 mph), and it’s all app controllable. The robot can be placed anywhere on the table and can oscillate 150 degrees. Though it can’t hit back (and you may not want it to, for the sake of your fragile ego) or retrieve balls, you can practice and improve anytime without having to call a friend. It’s now up on Kickstarter, and you can back the project for $499.
