If there was ever a bike that looked like it was built for Anime duty, it’s Auto Fabrica’s new “Type 18” custom build for BMW Motorrad. Half moto, half android, the Type 18 is both beautifully simple and starkly futuristic. It uses 3D printing technology, as well as handcrafted aluminum pieces, on top of the R NineT Scrambler’s frame. The artful curvature of the matte black exhaust pipes contrasts nicely with the angular 3D printed front turn signal elements and fairing pieces. The thin seat and floating taillight are both custom made by Auto Fabrica, allowing the huge rear wheel to have almost a life of its own. The fact that BMW Motorrad approved of this build just goes to show the skill and style exhibited by the UK custom shop.
