Situated in the Bavarian countryside is the municipality of Oberreute, a picturesque area that’s also an acknowledged air health resort. And in that gorgeous vista is where you’ll find House P (or Haus P) from Yonder Architecture and Design. As the story goes, it’s a traditional style Allgäu house with a shallow gabled roof and a full lower level. It’s on that lower level where the most unique feature is located. Yonder sliced out the entire middle section to create two distinct structures and a courtyard to connect them. On one side, an enormous storage shed with plenty of space for all your tools and adventure vehicles. On the other, two-stories and a loft filled with exposed wood, stainless steel, modern appliances and more than enough living space for a family of eight. With all the geometric contrast, warm surfaces and classic fixtures, there’s almost nothing about this place we’d change.
